Many of the most important and challenging problemsin modern solid state physics are in the regime whereboth the electron-electron interaction and disordereffects appear to be equally important. The dynamicalmean field theory is ideally suited to treat both ofthese effects on equal footing. This book presents atheoretical study of several aspects of behavior ofstrongly correlated electron systems with disorder.First the influence of strong electron-electroninteractions on the impurity dominated resistivity isexamined and a possible relevance of the results forthe physics of high mobility MOSFETs is discussed.Second part of the book describes a mechanism ofdisorder-driven non-Fermi liquid behavior in heavyfermion systems. The interplay of the Kondo effectand the RKKY interactions in disordered systems isexamined within an extended dynamical mean field theory methods.
