Electroencephalography or EEG as it most often is referred to as is a method to read the electrical activity of the brain. The ability to do this dates back to the mid to late 19th century when scientist began to study the brain activity of various animals such as rabbits, dogs, and monkeys.  The 1920’s saw the first example of these involving humans, when in 1924 German physiologist andpsychiatrist Hans Berger recorded the first human EEG. One of the first discoveries was the EEG’s ability to identify the potential for epileptic seizures. As science and scientist began to understand the workings of the EEG they were able to identify more beneficial uses for its use. These included: v Testing brain activity after a strokev Diagnose Alzheimer’s Diseasev Diagnose Narcolepsy The EEG may also be used to determine the electrical activity of the brain of an individual involved in a trauma, or even drug intoxication, as well as the brain activity of comatose individuals. However, the above only deals with the medical aspect of the EEG. The other aspect is that it is also a technological device, and as technology advances so to does those processes involving the components of an EEG; including the equipment used to perform the actual analysis of brain activity. It is here in the advancement of technology where MemoryMD will play a key role in the use and development of EEG related activities. As you readthrough this plan you will be presented an overview of products developed by MemoryMD; in addition you will be introduced to company’s key individuals and the benefits of its products.
