William James (1842 -1910), famous American psychologistand philosopher, was one of the strongest proponentsof the school of Functionalism in psychology, andPragmatism in philosophy. William studied medicine,physiology and biology before recieving a professionalmedical degree from Harvard university, where he spenthis entire academic career.
