    Through the work Effects of performance swimming on cardiovascular system the author Silviu Gabriel Cioroiu, physician and swimming coach, Ph.D. Lecturer at the Faculty of Physical Education and Mountain Sports at the Transylvania University of Brasov, Roumania, performed an analysis of swimming performance in pubertal age and it implications on health, with socio-economic repercussions in the long term. Adolescents age is critical regarding morphofunctional evolution of the organism in general and cardiovascular system in particular. The methodology that is used in performance swimming training must respect certain rules that will offer more chances of a proper development. The paper comes with scientifically reasoned proposals on training methods and both on approach of competitive system. Tracing a parallel between exercise and health, the book represents an excellent guide for us starting from the premise: parents, coaches, teachers, doctors have a moral obligation to raise healthy children who also have the right to grow old healthy!
