Change is on the rise - so it is imperative that we learn to view it, or challenge it, in a positive, constructive manner. This study explores how Public Servants within the Employment Standards Branch of the Provincial Government of British Columbia, Canada, can learn to embrace organizational change. The study correlates with a government-wide employee engagement initiative designed to determine how the BC Government rates as far as being a choice employer. The BC Government is committed to Being the Best by promoting wellness, innovation and excellence within its Public Service. This study furthers Governments vision by examining elements of personal and organizational change, including the roles mindset, attitude, training and leadership play in our reactions to change, which have a direct impact on employee engagement. The research was conducted through a mixed methodology of quantitative and qualitative research techniques; online survey, interviews and teleconference. The study findings and recommendations address personal and organizational themes, focusing on individual learning capacity and values-based leadership practises.
