End Vision explores what it means to be human in the age of technology through three intertwined narratives. At the forefront is thirty-three-year-old Ramon Ramos, who suffers from a rare debilitating form of epilepsy that leads him to become a test patient for the VerMas Department of Biotechnology and Programming's secret microchip and corneal lens implant program in Los Angeles. The implants change the way Ramon visualizes reality, turning his sight into an application called Vision, where the world unfolds to him in a series of advertisements and social media statistics. While the new technology returns control over his body to Ramon, he loses control of his life to VerMas, and also fears he is losing his mind. Caught between this new technology-driven world and the rural ranch world he grew up in is Andrew Munden, a VerMas Media employee and Ramon’s best friend. Much like the division he works for, Andrew's life is falling apart — his girlfriend has left him, his drinking has spiraled out of control, and his job is insecure. When his team is tasked with producing a “celebrity rodeo” reality television show, Andrew is sent to his hometown in the remote Texas Panhandle to scout out a location for filming. Andrew left home a decade ago, vowing he would never return to the heartache he left behind, but he has no choice but to go and face his past.
