Liu set a number of traps around where he would sleep then set off that night like he was moving on. After about an hour of walking he doubled back. As it turned out, the person following him was much better at hiding than he guessed. It was a rather delicate hand holding the knife to his throat as the other covered his mouth. And he felt a warm breath on his neck as the other person sat on top of him.
