Al-Niza? bain Fata? wa ?amas), also referred to as the Palestinian Civil War (Arabic: ????? ??????? ?????????? Al-?arb al-?Ahliyyah al-Filis?iniyah), and the Conflict of Brothers (Arabic: ???? ?????? ?ira? al-Ikhwah), i.e. fratricidal war, began in 2006 after Hamass legislative victories and continued, politically and sometimes militarily, until a reconciliation agreement was signed in May of 2011. The conflict was between the two main Palestinian parties, Fatah and Hamas. The conflict is called Wakseh among Palestinians, meaning humiliation, ruin, and collapse as a result of self-inflicted damage.
