His personality fractured into a number of separate elements, each wanting dominion over him.Fortunately, Mary, an artificial intelligence embodied in Nicks spacecraft, came to his rescue. It was only at the end of an agonising journey, with Marys help, that Nick was able to regain dominion over himself thereby being able to carry out the commissioned work. At the unveiling Unitys CEO discovered to his absolute frustration that the painting was actually a portrait of someone already known to him.
