The Cree are hostile to the Dënesuli?ne tribe, whom they suspect to be trading with the Hudson Bay Company, on which they hold exclusive rights.Thanadeltthers life comes alive through the 1714-1717 records written by James Knight for the Hudson Bay Company (HBC) post at York Factory (also known as Fort York). These records refer to her as Slave Woman.
