The vision of GLS is to help young women unveil their inner power, lead by example, and in turn help shape a new generation of female leaders. From a boxing and self-esteem workshop led by 13-year-old, six-time boxing national champion Meryland Gonzalez, to a photography workshop led by 9-year-old award-winning photographer Nominee Guerrero, GLS workshops cover a wide range of disciplines such as music, culinary arts, entrepreneurship, sports, engineering, visual arts, and more. In March 2020, GLS shifted their workshops to a virtual platform as a response to COVID-19. Thats when the Sheroes of Love Virtual Challenge was born: a series of Zoom workshops hosted by girls, for girls. These bilingual workshops in English and Spanish reached girls nationally and internationally.
