Mobile phone operators have been raking in billions from the SMS platform. Perhaps its the reason they have tended not to pay much attention to stop the cartels that are running various SMS scams on the mobile network. Of more concern are the novice subscribers and the young children who are subscribing to mobile phone services without knowledge and protection from these dangers.Though mass sensitization campaigns are run to inform subscribers of such dangers, many are still falling victim.
