The study was carried out in Tirupati, Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Purposive random sampling procedure was followed in selection of respondents.the sampling unit for the study was women in the age group of 25 to 50 years, 100 from Homemakers and 100 from Petty business women totally 200 women were selected these ample. Both women in petty business and homemakers were studying stress and coping status. An interview schedule was developed for collection of data. Analysis was carried out manually. Statistical techniques like percentages were used for data interpretation. The study was undertaken with the following objectives to examine the socio - economic and demographic variables Petty business women to study the coping strategies of Petty business women and Homemakers viz; Support network, People involvement in support network for domestic work, Wake up time, Time retired to bed, Strategies adopt relive from the stress, Regular activities.
