Father Tom truly believed that the Lord sent him to Tony for a reason. Why else, he thought, would this chance meeting occur where and when it did? The priest felt in his heart that God had a plan for Tony. What that plan was, he had no idea. He brought Tony to his Church, housed him in the recently vacated maintenance mans quarters, and helped him acquire a part time job working in a place near and dear to Tonys heart, a boxing gym. Who knew that would be the start of something so unimaginable that only God himself could conceive it? Tonys life became entwined with the word of the Lord as he struggled with his regrets. He hung on to every word Father Tom would preach and made an effort to fit those teachings into his daily life. He wasnt sure where all of this would lead him but he was ready for the ride!
