Once called TooTooTootsie, Uncle Sammy makes extended and more serious fun of that 1982 comedy classic.A stage actor, Samuel, due to a nomination for best supporting actor in his only movie role, confronts a movie business, which may not be big enough for his very own self-image.His world awry over problems about his image and worldly matters, past and present, he makes and works on a three-picture movie pact, insisting on many fixes that only God and a united or nearly united humanity could provide. The scripts are scant and of questionable provenance causing a search for an unknoown author. Three of his women friends become increasingly involved in his business and personal life, causing convolutions about relations, both professional and intimate; both serious and farcical.Yvonne works as the go-to executive assistant to Gerri, talent agency CEO and caretaker of Samuel and his writer friend. She has a better employment opportunity with the studio chief who made the pact. To increase her chances of getting the job on her own merits, rather than through a prior intimate relationship with the chiefs nephew, she decides to masquerade as Ivan.Jill uses a little, popular actresss leverage to get Gerri to recommend Yvonne to the studio chief. Yvonne gets the studio job as Ivan. HE must deal with promoting Samuels image and various fixing issues. A problem for their professional relations. While SHE dates him.
