This has been a question that has plagued parents for a long time. Personally, I feel that kids do it to test limits. If you tell a child not to do something, that is all they are going to do. Its their curious minds that is learning and exploring new things. Think about all the gross stuff you liked when you were little. Kids do it to test boundaries and to see what they can learn from it.
