Lilys 12 year old twin daughters, Glory and Ginger were nothing alike. They looked and acted completely different. Ginger was tidy; had long red braids; excelled in school and had lots of friends. While Glory was messy; wore bright colored bloomers; could care less about having a lot of friends; and was in love with the same boy all through school. Their Aunt Daisys adopted Indian daughter Violet was beautiful and mysterious. When Violet found out at a young age that her Indian heritage was from the Ute Mountains in Colorado Springs, she spent a lot of time with them. Growing up on an Indian reservation showed Violet the life changes that were in her future; especially after she falls in love with a tall handsome mountain man. Will she choose her life in the mountains or follow her adopted parents wishes? After high school, Glory leaves the love of her life and goes to Paris, France in search of a career, and Gingers job gives her the opportunity to explore different avenues; but leaves her alone and broken-hearted in New York City. Ginger, Glory, and Violets lives take them in different directions, but the family love they have for each other would always bring them back home.
