    One of a very few books on an actual battle, Ong Thanh, in the Republic of Vietnam, in 1967. This massacre of American infantrymen of the 2d/28th Infantry in the jungles, 39 miles West of Saigon, near the Cambodian border, by a crack VC Regiment, the 271st, was shocking and unexpected. The L shaped ambush led to 64 U.S. deaths and 70 WIAS, many seriously wounded. This effort is accurate with no adjusting of facts and responsibility.
